Hi, this is the documentation of the double-dzero-correlations package. It is under construction.
The objective of this analysis is to compute the double D cross section: $$ \sigma_{\mathrm{DD}} = \frac{N_\mathrm{corr} \cdot f_\mathrm{prompt}^2}{\mathcal{L}_\mathrm{int} \cdot \mathrm{BR}^2}, $$ where \(N_{\mathrm{corr}}\) is the efficiency-corrected yield, \(f_\mathrm{prompt}\) is the prompt fraction, \(\mathcal{L}_\mathrm{int}\) is the integrated luminosity, and BR is the branching ratio.
Basic requirements
This analysis depends on the Analysis results ROOT files provided by running on ALICE Hyperloop. Installing O2Physics is highly recommended, ROOT is strictly necessary.
Preselections
We used a set of BDTs to perform the analysis. More on them on preselections.
Analysis steps
We will go through each of these analysis steps one by one:
- Fitting contains the documentation related to the two-dimensional invariant mass fitter needed to extract the raw and corrected yields.
- Efficiency corrections contains information about the different pieces of code needed to create an efficiency map and to cross-check it using the integrated efficiency.
- Prompt fraction talks about the calculation of \(f_\mathrm{prompt}\) using the cut-variation method.
